Cross-country Swimming: The 2024 Youth World Championships in Alghero

Alghero will host the 2024 Youth World Open Water Swimming Championships from 6 to 8 September.
The event, announced by Husain Al-Musallam, president of World Aquatics, will see the participation of more than 200 athletes between the ages of 14 and 19 from 35 countries. After the 2022 edition in Seychelles and the 2023 World Cup in Golfo Aranci, Sardinia is again preparing to host a major international competition. The three days in Alghero will include the following events: 5 km (14-15 years), 7.5 km (16-17 years), 10 km (18-19 years) for men and women, and the mixed relay (4x1500m).
